Spring Rhythm is an independently run home décor label founded in 2012 by Sonali Kapoor. A textile studio based out of Bangalore, Spring Rhythm offers natural textiles, soft furnishings, and accessories for the contemporary home. Based primarily on the traditional craft of hand block printing, the range is uniquely global - with a signature understated vibrance.
With roots in India and influences gathered growing up and living in Europe and Japan, Sonali’s viewpoint is a unique confluence of philosophies – on design, décor, and way of life. Spirit, simplicity, and respect for the fragility and temporality of the natural world infuse her process, and the strength of her convictions resonates throughout the Spring Rhythm universe.
Spring Rhythm products are available online, at the atelier in Bangalore and in select stores worldwide.
Minimum Waste. Maximum Joy.
Spring Rhythm textiles are produced in house in a studio in Bangalore where second and third generation craftsmen employ the art of hand block printing, passed down from their fathers and grandfathers, to create unique impressions on high-quality fabric. Each textile is conceptualised, designed and sustainably produced. Zero stock and just in time production are an integral part of the set up and all orders are shippend in a week to ten days.
Pure cottons are mill-manufactured, and handloom cotton and rugs are sourced from a rural community of weavers in Andhra Pradesh.
The dyes used are water-efficient and meet EU-certified safety codes.
Sonali strives to sustain a joyful work culture, in which everyone is remunerated and respected as deserves their contribution.
The thought, care, and attention to detail paid to each product is commensurate with her belief in the meditative art of doing things well.
I’m really quite simple. I plant flowers and watch them grow... I stay at home and watch the river flow.
